"Fairtrade Africa: Empowering producers and workers across Africa."
Fairtrade Africa (FTA) serves as the primary representative body for Fairtrade-certified producers and workers across the African continent. It operates through four regional networks spanning Eastern Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa. Founded in 2005, FTA is dedicated to advocating for producers and workers within the International Fairtrade System while delivering essential services aimed at enhancing their economic well-being. Strategic direction and policy formulation are guided by the FTA Board.
Purpose of Fairtrade Africa:
To elevate the socio-economic status of African producers by securing improved access to equitable trading conditions.
