Job Summary

The Sales Executive will spearhead market growth and operational excellence for biscuit brands in Togo, collaborating closely with the current importer/distributor to maintain robust product availability, high visibility, and a competitive market stance.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment with business goals. Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while monitoring progress through regular evaluations and feedback mechanisms.

Seeking a professional for a role based in the vibrant coastal city of Lomé, Togo. This position requires on-site presence within the dynamic capital of Togo, situated in West Africa along the Gulf of Guinea.

Proactively uncover and cultivate emerging sales prospects within both traditional and contemporary retail channels to drive revenue growth and expand market reach.

• Enhance both numeric and weighted distribution metrics to achieve improved market coverage and penetration.

Execute territory planning in a structured manner to drive volume growth.

Collaborate closely with importers to optimize last-mile distribution efficiency.

Ensure that products are consistently available at all major distribution channels, including wholesalers, supermarkets, and kiosks.

Monitor inventory levels diligently, identify instances of stock depletion, and oversee the replenishment process to maintain optimal supply levels at all times.

Demonstrate meticulous attention to merchandising standards to maximize product visibility and enhance the overall shopping experience for customers.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, alongside expertise in database management and familiarity with version control systems like Git. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset are also necessary to thrive in this position.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development is mandatory. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and adaptability to evolving technologies.

Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing is required.

With a proven track record spanning 5 to 7 or more years in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sales—ideally within the biscuits, confectionery, or snacks sector—you possess the depth of experience required for this role.

Demonstrates extensive expertise in navigating and leveraging Togo’s market distribution frameworks and operational ecosystems.

Demonstrated a consistent ability to drive and sustain revenue expansion through effective sales strategies and execution.

With preference given to candidates who have worked in multinational corporations or prominent local and regional fast-moving consumer goods companies.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in negotiating terms and effectively overseeing distributor relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and streamlined operations.

Proficient fluency in French is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
