Given our primarily online delivery model, the Head of Education must possess strong technical proficiency, with hands-on experience using digital platforms such as Zoom and WhatsApp, as well as familiarity with various educational apps to optimize learning experiences.

The Head of Education will lead and motivate a skilled team of education specialists, developing impactful content designed to engage Catalysts through peer learning hubs and in-person events, while ensuring the consistent integration of our core educational values—creativity, problem-solving, and inclusion.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership in both program and personnel management, with a proven track record in directing the operational aspects of educational initiatives, curricula, and events. The role involves directing the daily operations of our Education Hub, providing leadership to a team comprising five program coordinators and an Ecosystem specialist. Together, they collaborate with more than 400 voluntary Catalysts to facilitate community-based clubs focused on early years’ literacy, digital skills, STEM, environmental sustainability, gender equity, and Keeping Spots Safe.

Providing comprehensive feedback and forward-thinking leadership, you will oversee every facet of our educational programs, with particular responsibility for guiding curriculum development in our learner clubs.

We are responsible for spearheading the integration of our ten pedagogical principles—namely inclusive, collaborative, creative, playful, digital, community-connected, transformative action-based learning, youth leadership, subject mastery, and Keeping Spots Safe—through structured observation, targeted training initiatives, and the strategic deployment of EDU-Animation.

To advance the development of the Despots App, WhatsApp for Learning, Online Courses, and other initiatives within the Despots Unlocked framework, as essential instruments for driving educational transformation.

Facilitate the creation of training materials and supplementary content for leadership programs tailored to Catalysts, contributing to the development of the Educates Program within the Catalysts domain.

At the core of all educational initiatives, safeguarding children and promoting inclusion remain paramount, with direct oversight for the advancement of our Keeping Spots Safe education program.

To assist in developing handbooks, resource materials, animations, and PowerPoint presentations, ensuring alignment with specified impact objectives.
