JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duty station for this position is located in Accra.
• Verify daily attendance, track movement, and ensure client business visits are documented.
Conduct comprehensive surveys of various businesses to identify potential entrepreneurs, followed by thorough evaluations of candidates through on-site visits to their business premises and residential locations.
Applicants are responsible for confirming the authenticity and completeness of essential documentation submitted by prospective entrepreneurs, including trading licenses, land agreements, tenancy agreements, spouse consent forms, and details pertaining to nominees and guarantors.
Prepare all required documentation for the disbursement of loans, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Gather all required documentation from individual clients as well as for loan disbursement purposes.
Ensure that monthly installments are paid promptly through mobile money or bank transfers.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of required reports and target plans.
Conduct post-disbursement visits to borrowers to assess their engagement and ensure compliance with loan terms.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of disbursements.
Collaborate closely with Account Managers (AM’s) and legal counsel to facilitate the execution and finalization of legal documentation.
Prepare requisitions for loan disbursements on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure timely and accurate funding allocations.
Ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of funds while maintaining rigorous monthly overdue collections.
• Promptly gather and submit accurate information regarding the death of the borrower or their dependents to insurers as required.
Collect written-off loans and ensure their corresponding funds are deposited into appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
Consistently comply with the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct and maintain a professional, respectful demeanor toward all clients.
Dedicate efforts to delivering exceptional service quality to clients, whether they interact with you in the field or at the branch office.
Demonstrate exceptional listening skills by fully comprehending clients’ complaints, concerns, and opinions, then take timely, well-informed actions to address their needs effectively.
Compiles, finalizes, and submits periodic progress reports in alignment with established timelines and organizational standards.
To cultivate a robust safeguarding culture throughout every facet of the program, the role involves executing the safeguarding policy effectively.
Provide essential guidance and expertise on safeguarding to foster a secure and compliant working environment.
The incumbent must guarantee that team members receive adequate training, support, and access to necessary resources concerning identified issues, which are addressed in compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
In the event of any reportable incident, adhere to the established safeguarding reporting procedure and promote its use among colleagues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is required.
Responsibilities include managing cash and bank transactions, preparing cash requisitions and cash certificates, as well as ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank statements.
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Minimum Qualification: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience within the microfinance sector or a financial institution.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
Effectively conveys ideas through both verbal and written channels with clarity and professionalism.
Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and engaging written content in English, with a strong aptitude for accurate reporting and compelling storytelling.
