JOB DESCRIPTION:

Accra serves as the designated duty station for this position.

Ensure daily verification of attendance, movement tracking, and client business visits.

Conduct in-depth evaluations to identify promising entrepreneurs by visiting and thoroughly assessing their businesses and residences.

Verify that prospective entrepreneurs possess all required documentation, including a valid trading license, land agreement, tenancy agreement, spouse consent, and details pertaining to nominees and guarantors.

• Compile and finalize all required documentation for loan disbursement processes.

Gather all necessary documentation from individual clients and for loan disbursements.

Ensure timely remittance of monthly installments via mobile money or bank transfer.

Compiles and maintains comprehensive reports as well as target plans, ensuring meticulous documentation throughout all stages of development and implementation.

After loan disbursements, conduct on-site visits to borrowers’ locations to assess their compliance with agreed-upon terms and gather firsthand insights into their operational status and financial health.

Conduct regular on-site inspections to validate the accuracy and quality of disbursements.

• Collaborate closely with Account Managers and legal counsel to finalize and execute legal documentation.

Prepare requisitions for loan disbursements on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure timely processing and fulfillment of funding needs.

• Ensure quality disbursement and monthly overdue collections

Collect and submit information regarding the borrower’s or their dependents’ passing to insurers in a timely manner.

• Pursue the collection of written-off loans and ensure their proceeds are deposited into the appropriate accounts.

Consistently comply with the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct by maintaining professional respect and courtesy toward all clients at all times.

• Strive to provide the best quality service to clients, at field and at the branch office

Demonstrate attentive listening to clients’ complaints, concerns, or opinions, ensuring thorough understanding before determining the most suitable course of action to address each issue effectively.

Compile and dispatch periodic progress reports detailing project developments, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the planned schedule.

• Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy.

Serve as the primary resource for advice, guidance, and specialized knowledge on safeguarding practices to ensure a secure and compliant working environment.

Ensure all team members receive necessary training, support, and access to essential resources to address identified issues, following safeguarding policies and procedures diligently.

In the event of any reportable incident, adhere to the established safeguarding reporting procedure and promote its use among others.

Required Skills: Candidates must possess a strong background in data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as SQL and Excel. Experience with statistical software, including R or Python, is highly desirable. Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is essential. The ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively is critical. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and data modeling principles is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are mandatory. A degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required to present findings to stakeholders. Prior experience in a data-driven role within a corporate or research setting is advantageous.

• Minimum of SHS certificate (WASSCE)

• Prepare cash requisitions, cash certificates, and bank reconciliation statements; oversee all cash and bank transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial protocols.

• Knowledge in application Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.

• Requirements: Minimum one year of professional experience within the microfinance sector or a financial institution.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel with a strong command of their respective functionalities.

Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication, ensuring clarity and precision in all interactions.

Proficient in English writing and reporting with strong command of grammar, style, and clarity.
