Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in heavy-duty vehicles such as Streak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment including Shanty bulldozers, loaders, and related machinery.
Conduct preventive maintenance as well as engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system servicing, suspension adjustments, and steering system maintenance.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and related attachments as required to ensure structural integrity and operational functionality.
Employ diagnostic tools and reference service manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Responsible for meticulously documenting repair activities, including the parts utilized and labor hours invested, to ensure precise record-keeping.
Each task must strictly adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications and applicable safety regulations to guarantee compliance and mitigate risks.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance regarding reordering procedures.
Responsibilities include providing guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.

A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
A minimum of three to five years of practical experience with heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery from brands such as Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable manufacturers is required.
Experienced with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems, with a deep understanding of their operations and maintenance requirements.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision and efficiency.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components, and thrive in both outdoor and workshop settings.
