We identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Conduct routine maintenance, execute comprehensive engine overhauls, repair transmissions, service brake systems, inspect suspension components, and address steering-related issues.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and related attachments as required to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency.
Employ diagnostic tools and reference service manuals to accurately diagnose issues and carry out necessary corrective measures.
Accurately document all repair activities, including parts utilized and time expended, to ensure precise record-keeping.
• Verify that all tasks adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications and relevant safety standards.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering procedures.
Demonstrate leadership by providing guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering is required as a minimum qualification.
Professionals with a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise in operating and maintaining Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery—such as Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable models—are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and a variety of standard mechanic tools to accurately assess and troubleshoot vehicle systems and components.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting substantial components and working effectively in both outdoor and workshop environments.
