Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system servicing, suspension adjustments, and steering system repairs.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as required to maintain structural integrity and functionality.
Utilize diagnostic tools and service manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Accurately document all repairs performed, along with the parts utilized, and the corresponding labor hours invested in each task.
Ensure strict adherence to all manufacturer specifications and established safety standards throughout all work processes.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering procedures.
Oversee and guide junior mechanics or apprentices as necessary to ensure their professional development and adherence to established standards.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with a strong aptitude for identifying trends and generating actionable insights. Advanced knowledge of statistical software and tools, such as R, Python, or SPSS, to support analytical processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of complex information to diverse stakeholders. Experience in project management, including the ability to coordinate tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards to ensure adherence to legal and ethical guidelines. A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering is required for this role.
Requires a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise with heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery manufactured by leading Chinese brands, such as Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable manufacturers.
Demonstrates extensive expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision and efficiency.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Physically capable and adept at handling substantial loads, with the ability to perform duties in both outdoor and workshop environments.
