Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Perform a range of maintenance and repair duties, including preventive maintenance, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system adjustments, suspension tuning, and steering system service.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as required.
Employ diagnostic equipment and technical service manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Accurately document all repairs performed, including parts utilized and labor hours expended.
Ensure strict adherence to all manufacturer specifications and applicable safety standards in all operational activities.
• Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering procedures.
• Supervise and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices when required.
Required Skills:
Proven experience in project management, with a strong understanding of methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and risk assessment. A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise in operating and maintaining Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery, including but not limited to Shanty, Sitrak, and How, or comparable brands.
Proficient in diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with comprehensive technical expertise in each domain.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision to ensure accurate assessments and repairs.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Able to maintain physical fitness and comfortably lift heavy components, this role requires working effectively in both outdoor and workshop environments.
