Duty stations for this role include Kong and Exist, requiring the position holder to be based at either location.

Conduct between 15 and 20 household surveys each day.

• Conduct thorough research to identify prospective clients through analysis of survey findings.

To establish clear boundaries for the designated working zones for the proposed groups.

• Engage with the designated participants in focused, small-group interactions to gather insights and address specific topics.

A dedicated team of five members will be formed to collaborate on various initiatives and projects.

Select a suitable individual to serve as the group leader for each small group.

As part of your responsibilities, you will establish and lead a comprehensive group management committee, comprising key stakeholders from various departments. This committee will be tasked with overseeing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive collective success. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to facilitate constructive discussions, and a commitment to maintaining transparent communication channels throughout the decision-making process.

Conduct a comprehensive two-week orientation program tailored for participants in large groups to ensure thorough onboarding and integration.

• Members’ admission fees must be collected in accordance with the BRAD Ghana circular.

• Responsible for inputting group members’ admission details into the mobile device or tablet and syncing the data promptly whenever feasible.

Schedule the dates, times, and locations for all meetings, ensuring alignment with participants’ availability and organizational priorities. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to confirm suitable venues and manage any logistical arrangements necessary to facilitate productive gatherings.

To assemble a team, ensure a minimum of 15 participants for Microfinance (MF) initiatives and 10 for Agra-Finance ventures, while maintaining a maximum of 30 members for MF and 20 for Agra-Finance.

Evaluate group sizes periodically and enroll new participants when membership declines, ensuring groups maintain sufficient participation levels for optimal engagement and effectiveness.

Organize and facilitate two to three group meetings daily.

The meeting schedule is structured as follows: the first session commences at 8:30 AM, followed by the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM. Please note that adjustments may be made to accommodate office hours as needed.

Arrive at the designated meeting location fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled start of the group session.

Arrange group members in a U-shaped seating formation, ensuring alignment with their designated small groups.

• Record daily attendance in the official register to ensure accurate tracking of present and absent individuals.

Discuss various aspects of loans and related matters, addressing general inquiries and concerns as necessary.

Collect weekly deposit installments from designated small group leaders via the assigned small group cashiers, ensuring each transaction is documented with signatures captured on a mobile device.

Returning to the office promptly by 1:30 PM following the conclusion of group meetings is required.

Cash received at group meetings conducted in proximity to a branch must be deposited at the branch prior to attending any subsequent meetings to mitigate the risk of theft or robbery.

Employees must adhere to established safety and security protocols at all times when handling the transportation of funds.

Ensure that all members’ loan proposals are thoroughly reviewed and deliberated upon during the group meetings.

Loan applications are evaluated by collecting oral votes from members during group meetings to determine approval or denial.

The credit officer is responsible for accurately entering all loan-related information, including loan applications and guarantor details from DP Notes, into the digital system.

After confirming the accuracy of loan applications, establish the disbursement date and communicate it promptly to all relevant members.

You must attend the disbursement event in person on the designated day to actively engage in the distribution process.

The credit officer is required to participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings and must ensure the full recovery of all loan installments.

Cash receipts must be promptly submitted to the Branch Accountant, who will then record the deposited amount in the Daily Cash Report (DCR) and affix their signature as confirmation.

In the event an installment is not collected during the morning group meeting, arrange for follow-up visits to borrowers’ or small group leaders’ residences in the afternoon to secure payment.

In the afternoon, commence the process of gathering late and NBL installments, alongside collecting any current overdue payments.

Should a former client of BRA Copt to re-establish their relationship with the institution, the individual will be tasked with managing the recovery process for any previously written-off loans.

Attend the weekly staff meetings as scheduled.

Compile comprehensive reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accurate and timely documentation of key metrics and activities.

Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the BRAD Human Resources framework.

Handle any additional tasks assigned by senior management promptly and effectively.

Always comply strictly with the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct while ensuring that clients are treated with the utmost respect and professionalism at all times.

Dedicate efforts to delivering exceptional service quality to clients both in the field and at the branch location to ensure their satisfaction and needs are fully met.

Demonstrate exceptional listening skills by attentively acknowledging and addressing clients’ complaints, concerns, and opinions, then implementing suitable solutions as needed.

To cultivate a robust safeguarding culture throughout every tier of the organization, the role will enforce and integrate the safeguarding policy comprehensively.

Serve as a primary resource for safeguarding expertise and guidance, fostering a secure working environment through informed support and leadership.

To oversee that all team members receive the necessary training, guidance, and resources, ensuring issues are identified and addressed in compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

A successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation, alongside experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential, along with keen attention to detail and the capacity to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Additionally, the role necessitates expertise in programming languages like Python or R, as well as familiarity with SQL for database querying and manipulation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also critical, enabling the effective conveyance of findings to stakeholders at all levels.

A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as WASSCE, is the minimum educational requirement.

• Prepare cash and bank transactions, including cash requisitions and cash certificates.
• Perform bank reconciliation statements to ensure accurate financial records.

• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.
