Duty stations for this position include the locations of Kong and Exist.

Conduct between 15 and 20 household surveys daily.

Prospective clients are identified through an analysis of survey data, ensuring targeted outreach and engagement strategies are implemented effectively.

To establish clear boundaries for the designated work zones intended for each group, it is essential to demarcate the working area.

Engage in direct conversations with designated participants in focused, collaborative settings to gather insights and facilitate dialogue.

A team will be assembled comprising five members to collaborate on assigned tasks and projects.

A designated individual will be chosen to serve as the leader for each small group.

• Establish and lead a comprehensive executive committee to oversee organizational operations.

Conduct a comprehensive two-week orientation program tailored for cohorts comprising large groups of participants.

Responsibilities include receiving member admission fees from individuals in accordance with the BRAD Ghana circular.

Enter group members’ admission data into mobile devices or tablets, ensuring timely synchronization whenever feasible.

Schedule the dates, times, and locations for meetings to ensure alignment with participants’ availability and logistical requirements. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to confirm suitable venues and reserve necessary resources to facilitate productive gatherings. Manage calendar invitations and follow-ups to maintain clarity and accountability among attendees.

Assemble a team consisting of no fewer than 15 members for Microfinance (MF) and 10 members for Agra-Finance, with an upper limit of 30 members for MF and 20 members for Agra-Finance.

When group membership declines due to attrition or other circumstances, oversee the onboarding of new participants to ensure the group maintains adequate size and engagement.

• Facilitate two to three group meetings daily.

The schedule for meetings is as follows: the first meeting begins at 8:30 AM, the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM, with the potential for adjustments based on office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group meeting.

Arrange all group members into a U-shape formation, aligning them by their designated small groups.

Maintain accurate attendance records in the designated register to ensure precise documentation of daily participation.

Facilitate comprehensive discussions regarding loan-related matters, as well as address any additional inquiries pertaining to financial services.

Collect mobile deposits from small group leaders via their designated cashiers on a weekly basis, ensuring each transaction is accompanied by a signed acknowledgment on a mobile device.

Please resume office duties following the conclusion of the group meetings, scheduled for 1.30pm.

Cash received during group meetings held near a branch must be deposited at that branch before moving on to the next meeting to mitigate the risk of theft.

Staff must adhere to established safety and security protocols during the transportation of funds to ensure the protection of both personnel and assets.

Ensure that all loan proposals submitted by members receive thorough review and discussion during the designated group meetings.

Loan proposals are evaluated and accepted through collective verbal voting, conducted in the presence of all group members.

The credit officer is responsible for entering all pertinent loan information—including loan applications and guarantor details sourced from DP Notes—into the digital system.

After confirming the details of loan applications, establish the disbursement date and notify the relevant members of the decision.

You must physically attend on the scheduled disbursement day to actively engage in the distribution activities.

The credit officer is expected to actively participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings while guaranteeing the full collection of loan installments.

Cash received must be promptly submitted to the Branch Accountant and recorded in the Daily Cash Report (DCR) with a corresponding signature to confirm the transaction.

Any missed installments in the morning group meeting necessitate prompt follow-up in the afternoon, including direct visits to borrowers or small group leaders’ residences to facilitate collection.

• Collect all past-due and non-interest-bearing late installment payments in the afternoon, alongside processing current overdue balances.

Should a former client whose loan was written off express interest in resuming their relationship with BRAD, this role will involve facilitating the process of loan recovery and client re-engagement.

Attend the weekly staff meetings as scheduled.

Compiles and submits detailed reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accurate documentation and timely communication of progress and results.

Adhere to all BRAD Human Resources policies and procedures in the execution of duties.

Demonstrate the ability to promptly and effectively carry out any additional duties assigned by senior leadership.

Consistently uphold the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct by maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is mandatory, complemented by a minimum of three years of progressive experience in financial analysis or reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables, is essential, alongside familiarity with ERP systems and financial software. Exceptional analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and strong communication skills are also required. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to interpret financial data accurately and present findings clearly to stakeholders. Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience with budgeting or forecasting processes are highly desirable.

A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is required.

Responsibilities include managing cash and bank transactions, preparing cash requisitions and cash certificates, as well as compiling and reviewing bank reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial records.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications is required.

Professionals with at least one year of hands-on experience in microfinance or financial institutions are encouraged to apply.
