Duties are overseen by the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Oversee the execution of project activities in the designated region, ensuring adherence to approved work plans, established timelines, allocated budgets, and applicable carbon standards—such as those outlined by Terra, the Gold Standard, or other relevant certification frameworks.

Facilitate the integration and widespread adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), climate-smart agriculture, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable rice production methodologies among enrolled farmers.

Engage and mobilize rice farmers, Water User Associations (Was), community leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure active participation and seamless project execution.

Organize and lead training sessions, demonstration plots, and farmer field learning activities focused on sustainable agriculture, effective crop management, water conservation techniques, alternate wetting and drying (AWD) practices, and additional climate-smart interventions.

Facilitate the installation, ongoing monitoring, and maintenance of AWD tubes, sensors, and other field technologies while also providing support for the deployment and utilization of digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems.

Coordinate field data collection efforts and ensure the monitoring of key project indicators, including soil organic carbon (SOC), greenhouse gas emission reductions, water usage, crop yields, and farm management practices, all of which are essential for accurate carbon accounting and verification processes.

Maintain precise project records, databases, and documentation while adhering to carbon certification requirements and established project reporting standards.

Foster and sustain productive collaborations with GINA regional offices, District Assemblies, traditional leaders, farmer associations, community stakeholders, and project partners.

Prepare and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that encompass project progress updates, field activity summaries, success stories, lessons learned, as well as detailed documentation of challenges and achievements in a timely manner.

Provide assistance in validating and verifying projects, conducting audits, and assembling the reports and documentation mandated by project partners, carbon certification entities, auditors, and validators.

• Assess potential risks associated with implementation efforts, devise effective mitigation strategies, and facilitate the efficient resolution of operational issues.

Ensure adherence to environmental and social safeguards, donor stipulations, project-specific policies, and all relevant regulatory and carbon market standards.

Supervise and mentor field officers, community facilitators, enumerators, and other relevant project staff to guarantee the meticulous execution of the project and the successful attainment of its objectives.

Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in project management or a related field is highly desirable, and familiarity with data analysis tools is preferred.
