Mobilize and involve rice farmers, Water User Associations (Was), community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and active participation.
Organize and lead training sessions, demonstration plots, and farmer field learning activities focused on sustainable agriculture, effective crop management, optimal water use, Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) practices, and other climate-smart interventions.
• Lead the installation, oversight, and upkeep of AWD tubes, sensors, and other field-based technologies, while also assisting in the implementation and operation of digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems.
You will manage the organization and execution of field data collection efforts while ensuring rigorous monitoring of key project indicators—including soil organic carbon (SOC), greenhouse gas emissions reductions, water usage, crop yields, farm management practices, and other metrics essential for accurate carbon accounting and verification processes.
Maintain precise project records, databases, and documentation while ensuring compliance with carbon certification requirements and established project reporting standards.
Develop and nurture robust collaborative partnerships with GINA regional offices, District Assemblies, traditional authorities, farmer organizations, community stakeholders, and project partners.
Prepare and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that encompass project progress updates, field activity summaries, success narratives, lessons learned, and detailed documentation of both challenges encountered and milestones achieved.
Provide assistance in validating and verifying projects, conducting audits, and compiling necessary reports and documentation for project partners, carbon certification bodies, auditors, and validators.
Identify potential risks that could arise during implementation, devise and implement effective mitigation strategies, and assist in resolving operational challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
