The incumbent will report to the Electrical Foreman and is accountable for ensuring both personal safety and the safety of fellow workers while performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all underground electrical systems and equipment. A strong emphasis will be placed on enforcing compliance standards to verify that all personnel—including employees and subcontractors—possess the necessary certifications and training to work safely and effectively.
Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign tasks to fitters and apprentices.
Experienced professionals will conduct preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of motors, controls, process controls, and instrumentation with precision and adherence to safety standards.
Performs both preventative and corrective maintenance on underground fixed plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems, including disassembly and replacement of worn or damaged components, as well as realignment of equipment.
Operates process calibrators and controllers to configure, program, calibrate, and initiate plant instrumentation and control systems.
Inspect electrical equipment, electronic systems, and telemetry devices to verify their proper functioning and operational integrity.
Suggest enhancements to instrumentation and control systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
