Reporting directly to the Electrical Foreman, the chosen candidate will ensure the safety of both themselves and their colleagues while maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all underground electrical systems and equipment. A strong emphasis will be placed on adherence to safety protocols, guaranteeing that all personnel—including employees and subcontractors—possess the necessary qualifications to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Supervise routine maintenance operations and distribute assignments to fitters and apprentices as needed.
Professionally perform preventive maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting of motors, controls, process controls, and instrumentation in a safe and effective manner.
Performs routine and emergency maintenance on underground fixed plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems, including the disassembly and replacement of worn or damaged components, as well as realignment of equipment.
• Responsible for utilizing process calibrators and controllers to configure, program, calibrate, and initiate plant instrumentation and control systems.
Conduct thorough assessments of electrical equipment, electronic systems, and telemetry devices to confirm they are functioning as intended.
Propose enhancements to instrumentation and control systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
Perform programming tasks, diagnose issues, and execute repairs on electrical equipment as required.
Perform scheduled electrical maintenance in strict adherence to manufacturer guidelines, the Electrical Code, and organizational/client standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Alternatively, candidates may qualify with a Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, provided they have accumulated at least a decade of relevant experience in the same mining environment.

Applicants are required to hold a current Ghanaian driving license for both Classes C and E, in addition to demonstrating proficiency in operating manual transmission SUVs in underground environments.
