Conducts both preventative and corrective maintenance on underground fixed plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems, including the disassembly and replacement of worn or damaged components, as well as the realignment of equipment.
Operates process calibrators and controllers to configure, program, calibrate, and initiate plant instrumentation and control systems.
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical equipment, electronic systems, and telemetry devices to verify their operational integrity.
Suggest enhancements to instrumentation and control systems to improve functionality and efficiency. Assess current systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose upgrades that align with operational goals and technological advancements. REQUIRED SKILLS:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a reputable university, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in hard rock underground mining operations, is required. Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the same field may be considered.
