Job Summary
The Husky Machine Technician is tasked with installing, operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing Husky injection molding machines within manufacturing environments. This position is critical in ensuring machines function optimally, reducing downtime, and supporting production objectives while upholding stringent quality and safety protocols.
Conducts comprehensive maintenance inspections on all company vehicles to ensure operational safety and reliability. Oversees routine servicing, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, while promptly addressing any detected issues. Manages parts inventory, coordinating orders to minimize downtime and maintain optimal stock levels. Collaborates with external repair facilities when necessary to facilitate warranty claims or specialized repairs beyond in-house capabilities. Ensures strict adherence to federal and state vehicle regulations, including emissions testing and inspections, to maintain compliance. Trains junior technicians and provides guidance on best practices for vehicle upkeep and repair procedures.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance as well as troubleshoot and repair machines and associated auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Machines must be meticulously configured and prepared for production runs to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications. This responsibility involves verifying that all equipment is correctly aligned, calibrated, and tested prior to operation, guaranteeing seamless workflow initiation.
Monitor machine operations closely and implement required modifications to enhance overall efficiency.
Ensure uninterrupted production by performing prompt repairs and conducting regular maintenance to prevent unexpected downtime.
• Verify that all products consistently adhere to established quality standards before distribution.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and reports ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Adhere strictly to all established safety protocols and organizational guidelines without exception.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to address and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of machinery as needed.
Required competencies include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and generate detailed reports. Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is essential, along with strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex information clearly. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required, and prior experience in a similar role is preferred. Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities are crucial for success in this position.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by at least five years of progressive experience in software development or a comparable technical capacity. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python, or C++, along with expertise in database management and system architecture, is essential. The ideal applicant must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with agile methodologies, cloud computing platforms, and DevOps practices is highly desirable. Additionally, prior experience in leading technical projects or mentoring junior developers would be advantageous.
A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline, such as a Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Higher National Diploma (HND), is required.
With a minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience operating Husky injection molding machines, you will bring valuable expertise to our team.
Experienced with injection molding processes and proficient in machine operations.
Proficient in interpreting complex technical manuals and schematics with accuracy and efficiency.
