Job Summary

The Husky Machine Technician oversees the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of Husky injection molding machines within manufacturing processes. This position is tasked with ensuring optimal machine performance, reducing unplanned downtime, and contributing to production goals while upholding stringent quality and safety protocols.

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations to ensure seamless workflow efficiency and productivity. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and uphold organizational standards. Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with long-term business objectives while fostering collaboration across departments. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members to enhance skill development and professional growth. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks and promote a secure work environment.

Operate, maintain, and resolve technical issues with Husky injection molding machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Perform routine inspections, diagnose malfunctions, and conduct repairs as necessary to uphold production efficiency and machine reliability.

• Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance on machinery and supporting systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Identify and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Ensure all machinery is correctly configured and prepared for production runs to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Monitor machine performance diligently and implement required adjustments to enhance operational efficiency.

Demonstrate proactive measures to reduce production downtime by executing prompt repairs and conducting regular maintenance.

To guarantee products adhere to established quality standards by conducting thorough inspections and assessments throughout the production process.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and reports, ensuring all documentation is complete, organized, and readily accessible for review and compliance purposes.

Adhere strictly to established safety protocols and organizational guidelines in all operational activities.

Collaborate with production and quality teams to address and resolve technical challenges effectively.

Assist with the installation and commissioning of machinery when necessary.

Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with data analysis and reporting; ability to work independently and in team settings; attention to detail and organizational skills; familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, preferably holding a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Must demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency in project management software, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, developing strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential to drive project success and foster collaboration.

A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline, such as a Diploma, Technical Certificate, or HND, is required.

A minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience operating Husky injection molding machines is required.

Demonstrates extensive expertise in injection molding processes and machinery operations.

Technical manuals and diagrams must be interpreted with precision, ensuring accurate comprehension of complex information.

Experienced in identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently, with a strong ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.
