JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serendipity Co. Ltd. specializes in Ghana’s sole commercial palm oil venture, collaborating with smallholder farmers and utilizing a “traditional” rural palm oil mill. The initiative supplies multiple European and U.S.-based brands while holding organic and fair trade certifications, thereby fostering sustainable rural development in the Eastern Region.

A highly motivated and meticulous HR Assistant is required to become part of our team.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties critical to the role, including the development and implementation of strategic plans, management of cross-functional teams, and coordination of project timelines to ensure timely and efficient delivery of objectives. Conduct thorough analyses of operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and streamline processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, monitor key performance indicators, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the department.

Provide support in the recruitment and onboarding initiatives, contributing to the seamless integration of new team members into the organization.

Oversee the organization and upkeep of employee records and HR-related documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Provide assistance with payroll and attendance management systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data and records.

Assist in managing leave-related processes and addressing staff welfare concerns.

Compile and generate various HR reports and formal correspondence as required by the department.

Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the Human Resources department to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and seamless workflow.

Proficient in written and verbal communication, with a strong command of language to articulate ideas clearly and effectively. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and extract meaningful insights to inform decision-making processes. Skilled in managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to dynamic work environments. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or methodologies relevant to the role. Capable of collaborating across teams, fostering strong working relationships, and resolving conflicts constructively.

A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Human Resource Management or an equivalent field is required.

Demonstrated proficiency in clear and concise communication, coupled with exceptional organizational capabilities, to effectively manage tasks and collaborate with stakeholders.

Possesses a solid grasp of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to utilize their key features effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in creating, editing, and managing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations to support various business functions. Familiarity with advanced functions such as data analysis, macros, and collaborative tools is advantageous.
