JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duty station for this position is based in the Ellembelle District, situated within the Western Region of Ghana.

As of July 1, 2026, the position will commence.

A six-month contract is offered with the potential for renewal upon successful completion of the initial term.

• The designated manager for the VIS GHANA initiative will serve as the primary referee for all project-related matters.

Coordinate and oversee on-site project execution to guarantee adherence to established timelines, ensuring all field-level activities align with the comprehensive activity plan.

• Perform routine data collection and analysis to track project progress effectively.

• Facilitate seamless communication and information exchange among project teams, implementing partners, and community-level beneficiaries.

Compiles monthly and operational reports while consistently providing updates on ongoing activities, encompassing multidisciplinary evaluations.

• Engage with diverse community stakeholders and galvanize their participation to secure the active involvement of community leaders, representatives, and local government officials throughout the project’s execution and enhancement phases.

The incumbent will manage the operational facets of the scholarship program, which encompasses organizing application procedures, facilitating correspondence with recipients, and maintaining associated documentation.

Ensure meticulous tracking of daily expenditures, gather all necessary supporting documentation, and submit expense-related records to the administrative office promptly.

Oversee on-site procurement activities, encompassing the assessment of requirements, supplier identification, acquisition of competitive quotes, and adherence to established organizational policies and procedures.

Assigned tasks or additional responsibilities may be allocated by the Project Manager, as required, to uphold the organization’s service standards.

Professional Qualifications and Competencies:

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in a range of technical and interpersonal skills to excel in this role. Essential competencies include strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure. Candidates should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a solid foundation in relevant software applications, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or an equivalent qualification in a related field is required.

With a minimum of three years of professional engagement in international cooperation—particularly within community development and mobilization initiatives—you bring substantial expertise to this role.

Experienced candidates with prior involvement in an equivalent capacity are strongly encouraged to apply.

Professional experience in logistics is required.

• Demonstrated experience within the education sector, with a focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (VET) environments.
