JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duty locations include Sweden and Aura Dunkwa.

Facilitate bi-weekly gatherings with AIM savings group members to review progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with collective financial goals.

• Collect savings deposits from AIM participants.

Ensure accurate recording of all savings transactions in both passbooks and digital platforms or the DFA system.

Ensure meticulous documentation of member savings, attendance, and participation records to uphold precision and compliance.

Deposit savings into the branch office in accordance with established organizational protocols.

Ensure the secure handling and transport of cash in compliance with established organizational protocols.

Develop meaningful connections with AIM participants and foster consistent savings behaviors.

Coordinate with the AIM PA team to manage meeting schedules, ensure participant attendance, and provide timely updates on related matters.

Facilitate the seamless transition and ongoing administration of AIM groups specifically for savings operations.

Facilitate consistent communication with the Branch Manager regarding savings performance metrics and participant engagement levels to ensure alignment on progress and strategic objectives.

Facilitate two to three group meetings daily, ensuring productive discussions and clear communication among all participants.

Conducting meetings are scheduled at three fixed time slots: the first at 8:30 AM, the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM, with the possibility of adjustments depending on office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group meeting.

Assist in delivering Financial Literacy Training (FLT) sessions as needed.

Educate participants on the importance of maintaining savings discipline and provide them with information regarding future access to Microfinance services.

Facilitate the onboarding of qualified participants into Microfinance groups upon fulfillment of the 18-month savings cycle.

Facilitate the evaluation and enrollment process for individuals who meet the criteria for loan eligibility.

Compiles and generates regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, covering key metrics and performance indicators to ensure comprehensive data analysis and decision-making support.

Responsibilities include accumulating customer savings through structured deposit programs. Requirements mandate reliable transportation for on-site collections. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building client trust during transactions. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in cash handling and accurate record-keeping. Knowledge of basic financial regulations is preferred but not mandatory. The role involves regular interaction with clients to facilitate savings growth.

Seamlessly facilitates a smooth shift to new systems, processes, or operational states by ensuring all elements are properly prepared, aligned, and primed for successful implementation. Proactively identifies and addresses potential gaps, risks, or inefficiencies to minimize disruptions during transitions. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Verifies that all prerequisites—technical, operational, and personnel-related—are met before full deployment. Monitors progress and resolves issues to maintain momentum and uphold transition objectives.

Participate in staff meetings to provide updates on field activities and progress.

Promptly escalate any operational or safeguarding concerns to senior management for immediate review and resolution.

Ensure all loan proposals submitted by members are reviewed and deliberated upon during group meetings.

Loan approvals are determined via spoken consensus among participating group members during live meetings.

The credit officer is responsible for inputting all loan-related information—including loan applications and guarantor details from DP Notes—into the digital system.

After confirming the details of the loan application, determine and establish the disbursement date, then promptly notify the member of this decision.

Be physically present on disbursement day to engage directly in the disbursement process.

The credit officer is expected to participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings and is responsible for achieving a full 100% recovery rate of loan installments.

Collected funds are submitted to the Branch Accountant, with the corresponding amount formally recorded in the Deposit Control Register (DCR) and the attendant signature duly affixed.

If a morning group meeting installment payment is missed, promptly arrange to collect the payment in the afternoon by visiting the borrower or their small group leader at their residence.

In the afternoon, the individual is responsible for collecting any past-due payments, including late and non-interest-bearing loan (NBL) installments, alongside current overdue collections.

To facilitate the reinstatement of loans for clients whose accounts have been previously written off, should they seek to re-engage with BRAD.

Consistently cultivate courteous and professional connections with every individual involved in the initiative.

Listen attentively to participants’ feedback, including complaints, concerns, and suggestions, and respond with suitable measures.

Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures set forth by BRAD’s Human Resources department.

Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the established Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies within the organization.

Handle any supplementary duties delegated by senior leadership as required.

Foster and uphold a robust safeguarding culture across all AIM groups.

Safeguard participants by preventing abuse, exploitation, harassment, and discrimination, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

• Report safeguarding incidents according to organizational safeguarding procedures.

Foster an environment that ensures the safe and inclusive engagement of adolescent girls and young women.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum of SHS certificate (WASSCE)

A minimum of one year of professional experience within a financial institution or a comparable industry is required.

Handles cash and bank transactions, including the preparation of cash requisitions, cash certificates, and bank reconciliation statements to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with organizational policies.

Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications is required.

• Knowledge of MS World, MS Excel

• Effective communication skills.

Proficient English writing and reporting skills are required for this role, with a strong emphasis on clear articulation and accuracy in all written communications.
