Action Aid Ghana (AAG) is a Ghanaian non-governmental organization established in 1990 and officially registered as a national NGO in the country. As the first Southern Affiliate program of the Action Aid International Federation, AAG is committed to advancing social justice, reducing poverty, and upholding human rights. Its core strategies center on promoting gender equality, empowering youth, enhancing climate resilience, and addressing disparities in underserved communities. AAG collaborates closely with individuals living in poverty, their communities, social movements, and grassroots organizations to defend and advance their rights, strengthen their resilience against poverty and climate challenges, and advocate for equitable access to resources and power. The organization maintains a presence in 11 of Ghana’s 16 administrative regions, including Upper East, Upper West, Northern, Savannah, Northeast, Bono East, Shaft, Bring Shaft, Volta, Otis, and Greater Accra.
