Conduct a minimum of 15 to 20 household surveys each day to gather essential data and insights.

Conduct thorough analysis of survey data to pinpoint prospective clients whose profiles align with predefined criteria.

The designated workspaces for each proposed group must be clearly defined to ensure organized and efficient operations.

Engage in focused discussions with the designated target participants in intimate group settings.

A small-group formation comprising five members will be established.

A designated leader will be chosen for each small group.

• Establish and lead a comprehensive group management committee to oversee strategic initiatives and operational alignment.

Conduct a comprehensive two-week orientation program for participants in large-scale groups to ensure smooth onboarding and alignment with organizational objectives.

Collect membership admission fees from members in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the BRAD Ghana circular.

• Input group members’ admission details into the mobile phone or tablet and synchronize the information whenever connectivity allows.

Schedule meeting dates, times, and locations while coordinating with participants to ensure availability and alignment with organizational objectives.

A team must consist of no fewer than 15 members for Microfinance (MF) and 10 members for Agra-Finance, with an upper limit of 30 members for MF and 20 for Agra-Finance.

Admit new participants when the group’s size declines because of member attrition or other factors.

• Facilitate two to three group meetings daily.

Conducted meetings are scheduled throughout the morning at 08:30 AM, 09:30 AM, and 10:30 AM, with the possibility of adjustments depending on office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group session.

Arrange group members into a U-shaped seating formation, ensuring each small group is properly positioned.

Maintains accurate attendance records in the designated register, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and reflect the current status of individuals present or absent.

We welcome opportunities to address inquiries regarding loans as well as other pertinent financial matters.

Each week, gather installment deposits from small group leaders via the designated small group cashiers, ensuring signatures are obtained on a mobile device.

Upon conclusion of the group meetings scheduled for 1:30 PM, you are expected to return to the office.

Cash collected from group meetings held in proximity to a branch must be deposited at the branch prior to attending further meetings, as a precautionary measure against potential robbery incidents.

Staff members are required to adhere to established safety and security protocols when handling and transporting funds.

Review all member-submitted loan applications to ensure they are thoroughly evaluated during scheduled group meetings.

• Process loan applications by conducting verbal votes in the presence of all group members.

The credit officer is responsible for accurately inputting all pertinent loan information, including application data and guarantor details extracted from DP Notes, into the digital system.

After confirming the accuracy of loan applications, establish the disbursement date and promptly notify the relevant members of the decision.

You must be physically present at the disbursement site on the scheduled disbursement date to actively contribute to the distribution activities.

The credit officer is responsible for attending weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings, while ensuring the complete recovery of all loan installments.

Cash receipts must be promptly deposited with the Branch Accountant and recorded in the Daily Cash Report (DCR), with the deposited amount formally acknowledged through a signature.

Any missed installments during the morning group meeting must be followed by immediate action, including visiting the borrowers or small group leaders’ residences in the afternoon to collect the overdue amount.

• Conduct afternoons dedicated to pursuing outstanding late payments and NBL installments, alongside efforts to collect current overdue balances.

In the event that a previously written-off client expresses interest in resuming their relationship with BRAD, you will be tasked with facilitating the reinstatement of their loan.

Attend the weekly staff meetings consistently to ensure active participation and alignment with team objectives.

Compile regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure comprehensive data tracking and analysis.

Adhere to all policies and procedures established by BRAD’s Human Resources department.

Demonstrate the ability to promptly and effectively carry out additional tasks assigned by senior leadership.

Staff must consistently comply with the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct and maintain a professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with clients.

Dedicate yourself to delivering unparalleled service quality to clients, whether they interact with you in the field or at the branch.

Demonstrate attentive listening to client feedback, inquiries, and suggestions, ensuring thorough understanding before implementing suitable resolutions.

To foster a comprehensive safeguarding culture throughout every tier of the organization, this role will be responsible for the implementation of the safeguarding policy.

Serve as a primary resource for guidance and expertise in safeguarding practices, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of a secure working environment.

Ensuring team members receive adequate training, support, and resource access is a key responsibility, aligning with safeguarding policies and procedures to address and resolve identified issues effectively.

In the event of any reportable incident, adhere to safeguarding reporting procedures and actively encourage others to do the same.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is required.

Responsibilities include preparing cash requisitions, generating cash certificates, and handling cash and bank transactions. Additionally, the role involves conducting bank reconciliation statements to ensure accurate financial records.

• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.

Requires a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in microfinance or a financial institution.

Proficient in utilizing MS Word and MS Excel proficiently.

Effective communication skills are essential for this role.

Proficient in crafting clear, concise, and accurate written communication in English, with a strong emphasis on reporting and journalistic standards.
