JOB DESCRIPTION:
Background
ISODEC seeks to engage a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at our premises. This is an urgent vacancy.
Job Purpose
To ensure ISODEC offices and common areas are kept clean, orderly, and hygienic to provide a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting Line
The Cleaner will report to the Administrative Officer or designated supervisor.
Terms of Engagement
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, and doors
• Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing toiletries
• Clean kitchen/pantry areas, wash dishes and cups as needed
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or supply needs to supervisor
• Adhere to health and safety standards in use of cleaning chemicals
• Perform other related cleaning duties as may be assigned
• Work Schedule: Once per week. Specific day/time to be agreed upon engagement
• Remuneration: Paid pro-rata based on days worked. Final salary/allowance to be discussed during interview
• Start Date: Immediately. Successful candidate expected to report to work urgently upon selection
• Contract Type: Part-time
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualifications
• Basic literacy; ability to read basic instructions
• Prior cleaning experience in an office environment preferred
• Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Physically fit to perform cleaning tasks
• Good personal hygiene and attention to detail
