Job Summary

The Husky Machine Technician installs, operates, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs Husky injection molding machines integral to manufacturing processes. This position focuses on optimizing machine performance, reducing downtime, and advancing production goals while upholding stringent quality and safety protocols.

Oversee a wide range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and compliance. Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve key objectives. Manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and sustainable growth. Identify opportunities for process improvements and oversee their implementation. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and maintain high standards of quality and service. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing concerns and facilitating effective communication. Collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with long-term business goals. Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.

Operate, maintain, and perform troubleshooting on Husky injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance as well as troubleshoot and address corrective maintenance needs for machinery and associated auxiliary equipment.

Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions through systematic inspection and diagnostic testing to identify underlying issues in systems and equipment.

Ensure all machinery is correctly prepared and configured for each production cycle.

Monitor operational metrics of the machinery to evaluate performance levels, and implement timely adjustments to enhance overall productivity and efficiency.

Proactively mitigate production downtime by executing prompt repairs and diligent maintenance tasks to uphold operational continuity.

To verify that all products adhere to established quality benchmarks and specifications.

Maintains up-to-date maintenance records and generates comprehensive reports as part of daily operations.

Adhere to all established safety protocols and organizational policies consistently throughout all work activities.

Collaborate effectively with production and quality teams to address and resolve technical challenges.

When necessary, support the installation and commissioning of machinery to ensure proper setup and operational readiness.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in relevant software tools and systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are critical in executing tasks and maintaining high-quality outputs. Experience with data analysis, project management, or related fields is highly desirable. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is necessary. A strong understanding of industry best practices and compliance standards is also important.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role.
