In this initiative, SIGMA aims to enhance the resilience of Ghanaian citizens—especially women, girls, and marginalized groups—by allocating greater resources to inclusive, gender-sensitive climate adaptation programs. To achieve this, the project will first deliver technical assistance and capacity-building support to key institutions within Ghana’s Public Administration, alongside providing direct grants to five districts for localized, gender-responsive climate adaptation projects. Additionally, SIGMA will collaborate with regional government stakeholders in the Northern and Volta regions to bolster the capacity of targeted districts in designing, executing, and monitoring climate adaptation initiatives.
