Purpose Statement

To uphold the operational integrity and secure functionality of mechanical systems—including pumps, compressors, tanks, valves, and pipelines—within the LPG tank farm located in Ghana. This role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards set by the EPA Ghana, Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), and the Department of Factories Inspectorate.

Key Deliverables

Conduct routine inspections and servicing to ensure systems, equipment, and facilities operate at peak efficiency, minimizing unexpected failures and extending asset lifespan. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as lubrication, calibration, and component replacements to uphold operational standards and compliance with industry regulations. Identify potential issues through proactive monitoring and diagnostic tools, addressing deficiencies promptly to prevent costly downtime. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and observations, to support data-driven decision-making and audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance schedules with production demands, ensuring seamless operations without compromising safety or quality standards. Adhere to established maintenance protocols and safety procedures to mitigate risks and maintain a secure work environment.

Perform corrective maintenance tasks to restore equipment or systems to optimal operational condition following malfunctions or failures, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety protocols. Prepare comprehensive reports on depot equipment for Management and stakeholders, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual timeframes.

To oversee the installation and maintenance of depot mechanical and panel systems, cooling units, pumps, tanks, piping and associated components, metering systems, power generators, and general facility operations. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges is essential.

Conduct performance evaluations, perform cost analysis, nominate vendors, justify approvals, and oversee work implementation in accordance with established quality and volume standards.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual basis while implementing proactive in-house or outsourced preventive maintenance strategies to minimize overall equipment breakdown maintenance costs.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to the attainment of organizational objectives and drive the company’s strategic initiatives forward.

Required qualifications include proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Asana, and expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
