JOB DESCRIPTION:
Exoplanet Bamboo West Africa is in search of a highly disciplined Field Manager to assume complete responsibility for operational performance within designated blocks. This position is ideal for a seasoned supervisor who demonstrates leadership by actively engaging in field operations.
THE ROLE
The Field Manager is responsible for implementing daily and weekly plans with precision while working entirely in the field. This role demands full accountability for crew preparedness, adherence to quality standards, compliance with SOPs, and prompt, effective decision-making to sustain operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Each morning at 05:30, you will review and confirm team assignments, task targets, and quality benchmarks to ensure alignment and clarity before daily operations commence.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and rotate across supervisor locations to ensure tasks are performed with high quality and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
Quality Control: Promptly cease operations whenever Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are violated or safety risks arise, and ensure corrective measures are implemented without delay.
• Conduct time-and-motion studies to assess productivity and validate established benchmarks, subsequently recommending crew size adjustments as necessary.
Prepare and submit daily block summaries while verifying the completeness and accuracy of all EHS and field documentation.
Strong proficiency in [specific software/tools], [relevant programming languages], and [industry-standard methodologies] is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. A diploma or degree in Forestry, Agriculture, or a related discipline is required.

Demonstrated expertise in leading sizable labor teams in operational settings.
Possessing a solid grasp of silviculture principles, herbicide application methods, and fire protection strategies is essential.
