JOB DESCRIPTION:
Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance tasks, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system servicing, suspension adjustments, and steering system repairs.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and related attachments as required to ensure structural integrity and operational functionality.
Diagnostic tools and service manuals are employed to accurately diagnose issues and execute the necessary corrective measures.
Accurately document all repair activities, including the parts utilized and the corresponding labor hours expended.
Ensure adherence to all manufacturer specifications and relevant safety standards in every aspect of the work performed.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering requirements to ensure optimal stock levels.
Responsibilities include providing guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
– Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
– Knowledge of data analysis and reporting using tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
– Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative or coordination roles.
– Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
– Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
– Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
A Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering is the minimum educational requirement for this position.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of three to five years of practical expertise in operating and servicing Chinese heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery, specifically models such as Shanty, Streak, How, or comparable brands.
Demonstrated expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems is essential.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and a variety of standard mechanic tools proficiently.
Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Physically capable with the ability to handle heavy components and perform duties in both outdoor and workshop environments.
