• Perform comprehensive diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy-duty vehicles, including Sitrak and How models, as well as earthmoving equipment such as Shanty bulldozers and loaders.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks, conduct engine overhauls, repair transmissions, service brake systems, inspect suspension components, and address steering mechanisms.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on chassis, frames, and attachments as required.
Diagnostic tools and service manuals are utilized to accurately diagnose problems and execute appropriate corrective measures.
Diligently document all repair activities, including parts utilized and hours expended, to ensure precise and comprehensive record-keeping.
• Maintain strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards in all work performed.
Oversee the inventory of frequently utilized spare parts and provide guidance on reordering needs.
Responsibilities include providing guidance and support to junior mechanics and apprentices as needed, ensuring their professional development and skill enhancement through effective mentorship and supervision.

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems.
Skilled in operating diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and conventional mechanic tools with precision and efficiency.
Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals written in English.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting heavy components and performing tasks in both outdoor and workshop environments.
