Job Summary
The Husky Machine Technician is tasked with installing, operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing Husky injection molding machines employed in manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for optimizing machine performance, reducing downtime, and contributing to production goals while upholding stringent quality and safety protocols.
Oversee and manage the full spectrum of operational duties, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and streamline workflows across departments. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and identify areas for continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and staff to facilitate clear communication and alignment with company objectives. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Husky injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Perform routine preventive maintenance as well as troubleshoot and repair machines and supporting auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency and minimize unexpected downtime.
Diagnose issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes of malfunctions.
Properly configure machines to prepare them for production runs, ensuring optimal setup and readiness.
Monitor system operations to evaluate machine performance and implement required adjustments aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Diligent execution of repairs and maintenance activities is essential to curtail production downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Uphold stringent quality standards to ensure all products meet specified requirements.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and generates detailed reports as required.
Adhere to all established safety protocols and organizational guidelines without exception throughout all operational activities.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to address and resolve technical challenges effectively.
Assist as needed during the installation and commissioning phases of machinery to ensure proper setup and operational readiness.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proven proficiency in written and verbal communication, with a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as Slack or Teams. Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Jira) and a solid understanding of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, or Power BI). Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential. • A Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related discipline is required.
• A minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience with Husky injection molding machines is required.
Demonstrates extensive expertise in injection molding processes and machinery operations, ensuring efficient and precise manufacturing outcomes.
Capable of interpreting complex technical documentation, including manuals and schematic diagrams, with precision and clarity.
Proven ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions efficiently.
