Job Summary
The Trade Developer is tasked with elevating field-level sales performance and optimizing market coverage, enhancing brand visibility, and boosting agent productivity to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales objectives within their designated territory.
Oversee a range of critical tasks encompassing the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Lead the execution of projects from inception to completion, adhering to established timelines and budgets while maintaining high standards of quality. Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. Serve as a key liaison between departments, facilitating seamless communication and coordination to achieve collective goals. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks and upholding ethical standards across all operations. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and contributions, promoting a high-performance work environment.

• Identify and onboard new individual wallet customers.
Motivate customers to activate their wallets and facilitate their completion of initial transactions.
Facilitate onboarding initiatives across markets, university campuses, transit centers, and local community gatherings to ensure seamless integration for new participants.
Proactively engage with and successfully integrate new individual merchants as well as small and medium-sized enterprises into the platform.
Convey product features and benefits clearly to merchants, ensuring full comprehension and alignment with their needs.
Assist agents in driving customer acquisition initiatives and executing promotional campaigns.
• Develop and implement field marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive brand engagement and sales.
Responsible for ensuring meticulous documentation of all onboarding processes to guarantee precision and thoroughness.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A minimum of three years of experience in software development, preferably in a DevOps or cloud environment, is necessary. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go is essential. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools (such as Docker and Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is required. Strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team, are critical. Prior experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack) is beneficial. Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning are also necessary.
• A Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent diploma in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field is required.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in field sales is required.
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the Mobile Money, Banking, Telecom, FMCG, or related sectors.
• Basic proficiency in CRM systems.
Possesses a functional understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Proficient in analyzing sales targets and performance metrics with precision and strategic insight.
Proficiency in the mobile money ecosystem and digital payment platforms is advantageous.
