This position is tasked with supervising daily accounting functions and overseeing financial transactions. In collaboration with the Country Director, the Finance and Administration Officer guarantees transparent and equitable procurement of goods and services while adhering to Spark’s procurement and financial policies. We are seeking a skilled Finance professional to oversee and enhance our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA preferred. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or management is required, with a strong proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, conducting audits, managing budgets, and advising leadership on fiscal decisions to optimize performance and mitigate risks. Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Provide strong administrative support while managing logistics operations efficiently to ensure seamless workflow and organizational effectiveness.

Oversee banking and accounting operations, encompassing daily bookkeeping tasks, cash reconciliation procedures, and bank correspondence specifically for the Ghanaian branch.

Oversee the monthly financial close process and ensure all account reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.

Engage in both internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the development and execution of the yearly planning and budgeting initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and financial targets.

Prepare cashflow forecasts to ensure that adequate and timely funds are available to support both daily operational expenses and strategic program initiatives.

Receive and evaluate routine financial progress reports submitted by Partners, subsequently implementing appropriate measures to address performance-related issues.
