Duty stations for this position include Kong and Exist.

Conduct between 15 and 20 household surveys daily to gather essential data and insights.

• Conduct thorough research to identify prospective clients through survey data analysis, leveraging demographic and behavioral insights to pinpoint high-potential opportunities for engagement.

To establish and clearly define the boundaries of the working area designated for each proposed group.

Engage in focused discussions with selected target members within smaller group settings.

A small team comprising five members will be established to facilitate collaboration and ensure effective project execution.

A group leader will be appointed to oversee each small group.

To establish and lead a senior leadership committee, overseeing strategic decision-making processes, ensure cross-departmental alignment, and facilitate high-level discussions to drive organizational goals.

Conduct a comprehensive two-week orientation program tailored for participants in large groups.

As per the BRAD Ghana circular, the responsibility includes collecting member admission fees from individuals.

Enter group members’ admission data into the mobile phone or tablet and sync the information whenever feasible.

Schedule the dates, times, and locations for all meetings to ensure they align with organizational priorities and participant availability.

A group must consist of at least 15 members for Microfinance (MF) and 10 members for Agra-Finance, with an upper limit of 30 members for MF and 20 for Agra-Finance.

We extend invitations to prospective members when a group’s size diminishes due to attrition or other circumstances.

Facilitate two to three group meetings daily, ensuring productive discussions and clear communication among participants.

Conducted meetings are scheduled at 08:30 AM, 09:30 AM, and 10:30 AM, with the possibility of adjustments based on office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group meeting.

• Organize participants into a U-shaped seating arrangement, ensuring alignment with their respective small groups.

Attends to the recording of student attendance in the designated register.

Facilitate comprehensive discussions regarding loan-related matters, as well as address additional pertinent concerns to ensure clarity and understanding.

• Retrieve weekly installment deposits from small group leaders via the designated small group cashiers and obtain digital signatures on mobile devices.

After concluding the group meetings by 1:30 PM, you will return to the office.

Cash received during group meetings held in proximity to a branch must be promptly deposited at that branch prior to traveling to additional meetings, as a precautionary measure against potential robbery.

Staff members must adhere strictly to established safety and security protocols when transporting funds to ensure both personal and asset protection.

Facilitate thorough discussions of members’ loan proposals during scheduled group meetings to ensure comprehensive evaluation and informed decision-making.

We evaluate and process loan applications based on collective discussions and verbal consensus among group members during our meetings.

The credit officer is responsible for accurately inputting all loan-related information into the digital system, including loan applications and guarantor details extracted from DP Notes.

After confirming the validity of loan applications, finalize the disbursement date and notify the relevant members promptly.

You must be physically present on the designated disbursement day to actively engage in the disbursement process.

The credit officer is expected to participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings and must ensure the complete recovery of all loan installments.

Deposited cash must be promptly submitted to the Branch Accountant, who will then record the transaction in the Daily Cash Report (DCR) and provide their signature as confirmation.

Missed morning installment payments should be followed by immediate afternoon collections, conducted via personal visits to borrowers’ and small group leaders’ residences to ensure prompt recovery.

In the afternoon, commence the process of collecting outstanding late payments and non-interest-bearing loan installments, alongside current overdue balances.

Initiate the recovery process for loans that have been written off when former clients express interest in re-establishing their relationship with BRAD.

Attend weekly staff meetings as scheduled.

• Develop and compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports to provide comprehensive data insights.

Adhere to the established Human Resources policies and procedures set forth by BRAD to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational standards.

Diligently fulfill any additional duties assigned by senior leadership as required.

Consistently comply with the Microfinance staff Code of Conduct, ensuring professional and respectful interactions with all clients at all times.

Dedicate your efforts to delivering exceptional service to clients both in the field and at the branch, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standards of professionalism and care.

• Demonstrate attentive listening to clients’ complaints, concerns, and opinions, ensuring thorough understanding before determining the most suitable course of action.

To cultivate a robust safeguarding culture throughout the organization, the role will oversee the execution of the safeguarding policy across all institutional levels.

Serve as a primary resource for offering support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding to foster a secure working environment.

The incumbent must guarantee that team members receive adequate training, assistance, and access to necessary resources concerning issues addressed and resolved in compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Adhere to established safeguarding reporting protocols whenever a reportable incident occurs, and actively promote their use among colleagues.

Skills required for this role include proficiency in data analysis and strong problem-solving abilities. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences. A minimum of three years of experience in a related field is necessary, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is required.

Responsible for managing cash and bank transactions, including the preparation of cash requisitions and cash certificates, as well as conducting bank reconciliation statements.

Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.

With a minimum of one year’s background in microfinance or within a financial institution, candidates should demonstrate relevant hands-on experience in the field.
