Job Summary

We are in search of a proficient and driven Electrical Technician to enhance our technical team. The ideal candidate will handle the installation, upkeep, diagnosis, and repair of electrical and fire safety systems, with a particular emphasis on fire alarm and emergency systems.

Oversee and execute a wide range of critical duties, including ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations, managing cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones, and analyzing complex data to inform strategic decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental objectives with overarching business goals, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Develop and implement efficient workflows to enhance operational productivity, and serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders to address concerns and facilitate seamless communication.

Install, configure, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and their associated control panels to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards. Conduct thorough inspections, identify any malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs or upgrades to uphold system reliability and performance. Ensure all installations and maintenance activities adhere to regulatory requirements and manufacturer specifications.

Perform thorough inspections and maintenance on emergency lighting systems and backup power units to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues within fire safety equipment and associated systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on fire detection and suppression systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

• Guarantee that all installations adhere to applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze and interpret electrical and fire system drawings and schematics to ensure accurate understanding of system designs and configurations.

Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.

Maintain meticulous records of service activities and ensure all documentation is precise and up-to-date.

Collaborate effectively with engineers and safety officers to ensure seamless project installations.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is required. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. Additionally, candidates should possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A diploma or NTI certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required for this position.

Requires a minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in electrical or fire safety systems.

Experienced professionals should possess a strong understanding of fire alarm systems, control panels, and emergency lighting systems.
