JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAA is looking for skilled, experienced, and driven Electrical-Instrumentation Technicians, Radio Technicians, and Auto Electricians to strengthen our team. Highly skilled Auto Electricians are needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in vehicles, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of automotive electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, circuit diagnostics, and electronic control units (Ecus). Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools is essential, along with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical faults, performing installations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. An Auto Electrician is tasked with installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and electronic systems in mining vehicles and heavy mobile equipment.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Lead and manage key initiatives, fostering collaboration across teams to drive efficiency and innovation. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and resolving escalated issues. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards of productivity and quality. Develop and refine processes to optimize workflow, reduce redundancies, and enhance overall effectiveness. Mentor and guide team members, promoting professional growth and accountability. Investigate, diagnose, and execute trade-related maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery in accordance with specified maintenance requirements.

Perform comprehensive preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance on underground mobile equipment.

Perform diagnostics to identify electrical faults and failures as needed.

A steadfast commitment to maintaining health and safety standards at all times is essential.

Address discrepancies outlined in pre-start reports, breakdown sheets, and over-inspection reports, ensuring prompt resolution of identified issues.

Conduct thorough post-inspection assessments of tasks completed by apprentices and operatives, ensuring workmanship meets required standards, and offer constructive feedback and guidance to support skill development as needed.

Report any malfunctions or failures observed in equipment and machinery promptly to the Supervisor.

Deliver constructive feedback to supervisors and colleagues concerning the operational status and functionality of equipment.

Develop, adapt, construct, and install the necessary equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery within the designated area.

Ensure machinery is consistently available and operational for production needs.

Responsibilities include evaluating spares requirements and procuring them in strict adherence to the established mine procedures.

Proactively liaise with clients and supervisors to provide detailed updates regarding maintenance activities that have been completed and the operational status of equipment.

Ensure strict compliance with all established policies and procedures to maintain organizational standards and operational integrity.

Execute all assigned duties and responsibilities in full compliance with established health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Open to exceeding standard hours, participating in on-call duties, and adapting to rotating shift schedules as operational needs require.
