To perform a mid-term evaluation of the Championing Nutrition and Gender Equality (CHANGE) Project in Ghana.

Conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing nutrition and health service frameworks, with a specific emphasis on underserved and economically disadvantaged groups, particularly women and children, within the designated communities.

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the primary outcome and output-level indicators as defined within the project’s Performance Measurement Framework (PMF).

Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the perspectives and insights of community members, local stakeholders, and prospective collaborators concerning the production, processing, and storage of nutrient-rich foods, as well as food security and community resilience.

Evaluate how gender-responsive nutrition strategies can be effectively incorporated into district-level policies and programming, considering both potential opportunities and existing constraints.

Analyze contextual, programmatic, and institutional elements that either enable or impede progress toward established objectives.

Produce practical insights and strategic suggestions to inform project modifications and bolster overall success throughout the remainder of the implementation phase.

Primary data collection efforts may encompass surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (Kids), and structured observation, depending on the methodology proposed.

A thorough review of secondary data must encompass project reports, baseline findings, district and regional health and nutrition data, and any other pertinent literature.

All methodologies and tools utilized must facilitate disaggregation by sex and age, as applicable.

The consultant is required to employ participatory, inclusive, and ethically sound approaches while strictly adhering to Children Believe’s policies on child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), data protection, and privacy.

The inception report outlines the refined methodology, work plan, sampling approach, data collection plan, and quality assurance arrangements to ensure a structured and effective implementation of the project.
