Job Summary

Support the Accounts and Audit Compliance function by maintaining precise financial and employee records, ensuring timely adherence to statutory requirements, and facilitating efficient preparation for both internal and external audits across all client companies. The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, thorough reconciliations, comprehensive tax and regulatory compliance support, and seamless audit coordination.

Responsibilities

Manages financial documentation and accounts, ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of all financial transactions and records in accordance with established accounting standards and procedures.

Statutory and compliance support is provided by ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across all business operations. This role involves monitoring changes in laws, interpreting their implications, and implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures. It also includes conducting audits, managing documentation, and facilitating training to ensure organizational compliance. Collaboration with various departments is essential to address compliance-related issues and mitigate risks effectively.

Responsible for maintaining accurate and organized documentation and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Establishes and enforces systematic procedures for the creation, storage, retrieval, and disposal of documents. Monitors record-keeping activities to verify completeness, accuracy, and timely updates. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance accessibility of critical information. Ensures confidentiality and security of sensitive records in alignment with organizational protocols.

Ensures robust internal controls and provides comprehensive process support to maintain operational integrity and compliance with established standards.

• Position: Requires on-site presence in Kumasi, the vibrant capital of the Ashanti Region in Ghana.

Facilitate the preparation and maintenance of precise financial records, including the compilation of supporting schedules.

Assist by facilitating the posting and reviewing of transactions within accounting systems.

Prepare and maintain statutory compliance schedules, including PAYE, SSN IT, and withholding tax, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Verify that all compliance documentation for client companies is thorough, precise, and maintained in proper order.

• Monitor statutory deadlines diligently and promptly escalate any compliance risks to mitigate potential issues.

Ensure employee records are meticulously maintained and kept current to meet all statutory and compliance requirements.

Validate the employee data submitted by clients to confirm it is comprehensive and coherent.

• Monitor staff changes and verify that all necessary approvals and documentation are properly maintained on file.

Prepare audit schedules and compile supporting documentation for both internal and external audit engagements.

Respond promptly to audit requests and ensure all outstanding audit queries are addressed in a timely manner.

• Help monitor audit findings and facilitate the implementation of recommended actions.

Conduct compliance audits for client organizations by examining their records in relation to applicable regulatory standards and approved checklists.

Provide actionable recommendations to address and resolve instances of non-compliance effectively.

Produce comprehensive documentation highlighting discrepancies, inaccuracies, or deviations from established standards.

Maintain meticulously organized physical and digital files to ensure all accounts and compliance records are current and easily accessible.

Ensure all documents are prepared for audits and can be accessed without delay.

Maintain up-to-date compliance trackers and audit documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Facilitate compliance with established company policies and operational guidelines.

Identify and document any gaps, inconsistencies, or weaknesses present in controls for further evaluation and remediation.

Proficient candidates must possess strong interpersonal abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in project management tools and software, along with the capacity to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Fluency in English and additional language skills are highly desirable. Prior experience in a similar role, coupled with a proven track record of meeting deadlines, is essential.
