JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The successful candidate will be based in Accra, serving as the primary operational hub for this assignment.

• Verify daily attendance, track movement, and confirm client business visits.

Conduct comprehensive field assessments by visiting entrepreneurs’ businesses and residences to identify and evaluate high-potential candidates for the initiative.

Prospective entrepreneurs are required to submit and verify essential documentation, including their trading license, land agreement, tenancy agreement, spouse consent, as well as details regarding nominees and guarantors.

Compile all required documentation for loan disbursements in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Gather all required documentation from clients and for loan disbursement purposes.

Fulfill timely monthly installment payments via mobile money or bank transfer.

Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for required reports and strategic target plans, ensuring all details are thoroughly recorded and accessible.

Conduct follow-up visits with borrowers after the disbursement of funds to ensure compliance, address inquiries, and assess the proper utilization of allocated resources.

Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of disbursements.

• Collaborate closely with account managers and legal counsel to finalize and execute legal documentation.

Prepare and submit weekly and monthly requisitions to facilitate loan disbursements, ensuring timely processing and adherence to financial protocols.

Ensure that disbursements are accurate and processed promptly each month while also managing and collecting overdue payments to maintain financial integrity.

Ensure timely collection and submission of information regarding the death of the borrower or their dependents to the relevant insurers.

Conduct follow-up actions to collect accounts that have been written off and ensure the funds are properly deposited into the designated accounts.

Consistently uphold the established Code of Conduct for Microfinance personnel while demonstrating unwavering respect for all clients in every interaction.

Dedicate efforts to delivering exceptional client service both in the field and at the branch office to ensure an outstanding experience.

Demonstrate exceptional listening skills by attentively addressing clients’ complaints, concerns, and opinions, then determining and implementing suitable solutions.

Compiles and submits detailed progress reports in accordance with established deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documented updates.

Develop and embed a robust safeguarding framework throughout every tier of the program, ensuring adherence to the safeguarding policy and fostering a culture of vigilance and accountability.

Serve as a primary resource for safeguarding advice, guidance, and specialized knowledge to help cultivate and maintain a secure workplace environment.

Ensures all team members receive proper training, ongoing support, and necessary resources to address and resolve issues in compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

In the event of any reportable incident, adhere to the safeguarding reporting procedure and actively promote its use among others.

Required competencies encompass proficiency in advanced data analysis tools, including statistical software and visualization platforms, along with a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python or R. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in database management systems, particularly SQL, and exhibit exceptional problem-solving abilities to interpret complex datasets. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks is advantageous, and the role demands effective communication skills to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in data-driven roles is essential.

Applicants are required to possess at least a Senior High School Certificate, such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Responsibilities include managing cash and bank transactions, preparing cash requisitions and cash certificates, as well as preparing bank reconciliation statements.

With a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in microfinance or a financial institution, you bring practical expertise to the role.
