Duty Station: Kong and Exist

Conduct between 15 and 20 household surveys daily, ensuring thorough data collection and adherence to established protocols.

Prospective clients are identified by analyzing survey findings to determine viable opportunities for engagement and outreach.

To establish clear boundaries for the designated working spaces assigned to each group.

• Engage in focused discussions with carefully selected target participants in small, interactive group settings.

A team of five members will be formed to collaborate on tasks.

A coordinator will be chosen to lead each small group, ensuring effective guidance and organization throughout the process.

Formulate and lead a sizable executive committee responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering collaborative decision-making among stakeholders.

Conduct a comprehensive two-week orientation program tailored for members of large cohorts.

• Collect member admission fee from the members as per BRAC Ghana circular

Using the mobile phone or tablet, record group members’ admission data and synchronize the information as frequently as feasible.

Responsibilities include coordinating and arranging meeting schedules, selecting appropriate times, and securing suitable venues.

A team must be assembled comprising no fewer than 15 participants for Microfinance (MF) initiatives and 10 participants for Agra-Finance projects, with an upper limit of 30 members for MF and 20 members for Agra-Finance.

Responsible for enrolling new participants when a group’s size diminishes due to attrition or other circumstances.

Facilitate two to three group meetings daily, ensuring productive discussions and clear communication among participants.

A structured schedule has been established for meetings, with the first session commencing at 8:30 AM, followed by the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM. Please note that these timings may be adjusted in accordance with office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group meeting.

Arrange group members in a U-shape formation, ensuring alignment with their designated small groups.

Compile attendance records in the designated register to ensure accurate documentation of student or employee presence.

Engage in comprehensive discussions regarding loan-related matters, as well as address other pertinent issues as needed.

Each week, secure installment deposits from small group leaders via the designated small group cashiers, ensuring that signatures are captured on a mobile device.

Following the conclusion of group meetings at 1:30 PM, you are required to return to the office.

Cash received at group meetings held in proximity to a branch must be deposited at that branch prior to traveling to subsequent meetings to mitigate the risk of theft.

Staff members must adhere to established safety and security protocols when handling and transporting monetary assets.

Review and present members’ loan proposals for consideration during the scheduled group meetings to facilitate informed decision-making.

Evaluate and consider loan applications by conducting verbal votes in the presence of all group members.

The credit officer is responsible for accurately inputting all loan-related information into the digital system, including loan applications and guarantor details obtained from DP Notes.

After confirming the accuracy of loan applications, establish and communicate the disbursement date to the members involved.

On disbursement day, you must physically attend the event to actively engage in the disbursement process.

The credit officer is responsible for participating in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings while maintaining full recovery of all loan installments.

Cash deposits must be promptly submitted to the Branch Accountant, who will then record the deposited amount in the Daily Cash Report (DCR) and provide a signature as confirmation.

Should any installment remain unpaid during the morning group meeting, promptly arrange afternoon visits to the homes of borrowers or small group leaders to collect the outstanding amount.

Collect late and NBL installments during the afternoon, ensuring current overdue payments are also addressed.

Should a client previously written off seek to re-establish their relationship with BRAD, the incumbent would be responsible for initiating the loan recovery process.

You are expected to attend the weekly staff meetings without exception.

• Compile, distribute, and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

To oversee that team members receive proper training, support, and access to necessary resources, ensuring all identified issues are addressed and resolved in compliance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.

In the event of a reportable incident, ensure adherence to the safeguarding reporting procedure and actively promote its use among colleagues.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent, such as a WASSCE certificate, is required.

Responsibilities include managing cash and bank transactions, preparing cash requisitions, generating cash certificates, and conducting bank reconciliation statements.

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.

With a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in the microfinance or financial services sector, candidates are expected to demonstrate a solid foundation in the field.
