An Auto Electrician installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs electrical and electronic systems in mining vehicles and heavy mobile equipment.

Address defects noted in pre-start reports, breakdown sheets, and over-inspection reports promptly.

Conduct thorough equipment over-inspections on work completed by apprentices and operatives, as needed, and deliver constructive feedback and guidance to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

Report any equipment or machinery defects and breakdowns to the Supervisor without delay.

Offer constructive feedback to supervisors and colleagues about the functionality and state of equipment to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Develop, implement, and maintain all necessary equipment modifications, installations, and constructions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all systems within the designated area of responsibility.

Ensure machinery is consistently operational and readily available for use when required.

Identify and assess spare parts requirements in alignment with established mine procedures, then place orders accordingly.

Effectively liaise with both clients and supervisory staff to provide updates regarding maintenance actions completed and the operational status of equipment.
