Conduct a two-week orientation program tailored for participants in large groups.
• Gather membership admission fees from individuals in accordance with the BRAD Ghana circular guidelines.
• Enter the admission details of group members into the mobile phone or tablet and sync the information whenever feasible.
Responsibilities include coordinating meeting schedules by determining appropriate dates, times, and locations to ensure optimal attendance and efficiency.
To establish a group consisting of no fewer than 15 members for Microfinance (MF) and 10 members for Agra-Finance, while ensuring the group size does not exceed 30 members for MF and 20 for Agra-Finance.
Admit new members when a group’s size declines due to attrition or other circumstances to ensure adequate participation and engagement levels are maintained.
Convene two to three group meetings daily, ensuring productive and engaging discussions.
The schedule for meetings is as follows: the first meeting at 8:30 AM, the second at 9:30 AM, and the third at 10:30 AM, with the possibility of adjustments based on office hours.
Arrive at the meeting location at least fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled start time to ensure readiness and timely coordination with the group.
Arrange team members in a U-shape formation, ensuring each small group is properly aligned and seated together.
Compile attendance records in the designated register, ensuring accurate documentation of student or participant presence for each session.
Facilitate comprehensive discussions regarding loan-related matters, as well as address any other pertinent inquiries or concerns that may arise.
Collect mobile deposits from small group leaders weekly via their designated cashiers and obtain signed confirmation on a mobile device.
Return to the office by 1:30 PM following the completion of the group meetings.
Cash received from group meetings held in proximity to a branch must be deposited at the branch location before proceeding to any additional group meetings, as this measure significantly reduces the risk of theft or robbery.
• Employees are required to adhere to established safety and security protocols during the transportation of funds.
Review all member-submitted loan proposals to ensure they are thoroughly evaluated and deliberated upon during group meetings.
Loan applications are received via verbal consensus among group members during the meeting.
The credit officer is responsible for accurately entering all pertinent loan data—including loan applications and guarantor details from DP Notes—into the digital system.
After confirming the validity of loan applications, establish a disbursement date and promptly notify the relevant members of this schedule.
You must be physically present on the day of disbursement to actively engage in the distribution process.
The credit officer is expected to participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings while maintaining full recovery of all loan installments.
Cash received must be promptly submitted to the Branch Accountant, who will verify the deposit and record the full amount in the Daily Cash Report (DCR), ensuring all entries are signed for confirmation.
If a borrower fails to make an installment during the morning group meeting, promptly arrange for a representative to visit their home or the small group leader’s residence in the afternoon to collect the outstanding payment.
Oversee the retrieval of all past-due and non-interest-bearing loan installments in the afternoon, concurrently managing the collection of current overdue payments.
To facilitate the return of clients whose loans were previously written off, the incumbent will oversee the loan recovery process, ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
Attend the weekly staff meetings consistently, ensuring active participation in discussions and decision-making processes.
Compile comprehensive reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to provide accurate insights and data summaries.
Adhere to BRAD Human Resources Policies and Procedures in all operational activities.
