To carry out the mid-term assessment of the Championing Nutrition and Gender Equality (CHANGE) Project in Ghana.

Evaluate the existing nutrition and health service provisions for the most disadvantaged and underserved groups, with particular emphasis on women and children, within the designated communities.

• Evaluate the current status of critical outcome and output-level indicators as defined within the project’s Performance Measurement Framework (PMF).

Conduct in-depth evaluations of community members’, local stakeholders’, and potential partners’ perspectives on the production, processing, and storage of nutritious foods, food security initiatives, and community resilience efforts.

Evaluate how gender-responsive nutrition strategies can be effectively incorporated into district-level policies and programming, considering both opportunities and potential limitations.

Analyze contextual, programmatic, and institutional factors to determine their influence on progress or obstacles to achieving established goals.

• Develop practical insights and strategic recommendations to inform project modifications and improve overall effectiveness for the remainder of the implementation phase.

Primary data collection may involve administering surveys, conducting focus group discussions (FGDs), performing key informant interviews (Kids), and executing structured observations, as determined by the proposed methodology.

The secondary data review encompasses project reports, baseline findings, district and regional health and nutrition data, as well as other pertinent literature.

All tools and approaches should, where applicable, enable disaggregation by sex and age.

The consultant is expected to employ participatory, inclusive, and ethically grounded approaches while adhering to Children Believe’s stringent child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), data protection, and privacy policies.

The inception report must comprehensively outline a refined methodology, a detailed work plan, a robust sampling approach, a comprehensive data collection plan, and stringent quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and reliability throughout the project.

Developed and endorsed quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments, ensuring their validity and reliability for research purposes.
