JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Primary Work Locations: Sweden and Aura Dunkwa

• Hold bi-weekly meetings with AIM savings groups to facilitate communication and ensure alignment with group objectives.

• Accumulate and process savings deposits from participants in the AIM program.

Ensure accurate documentation of all savings transactions in both passbook and digital platforms, including the Digital Financial Assistant (DFA) system.

• Maintain accurate records of member savings, attendance and participation.

Deposit savings collected into the branch office in accordance with established organizational protocols.

• Ensure safe handling and transportation of cash according to organizational policies.

Develop meaningful connections with AIM participants to foster consistent savings behaviors.

• Coordinate with AIM PA regarding meeting schedules, attendance and participant updates.

Assist in ensuring seamless transitions and effective oversight of AIM groups within savings operations.

Provide monthly reports detailing savings performance and participant engagement metrics to the Branch Manager.

Convene between two and three group sessions daily to facilitate collaborative discussions and engagement.

First meeting is scheduled at 8:30 AM, followed by the second at 9:30 AM and the third at 10:30 AM, with the possibility of adjustments depending on office hours.

Arrive at the designated meeting location fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the group session.

Provide assistance in conducting Financial Literacy Training (FLT) sessions as needed.

Educate participants in cultivating disciplined savings habits while providing insights into future access to Microfinance services.

Prepare eligible participants to transition into Microfinance groups upon completion of the 18-month savings cycle.

Facilitate the evaluation and integration of individuals who meet the criteria for loan eligibility.

Compiles comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering relevant metrics and data points to track performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

Absences must be communicated promptly, with appropriate documentation submitted when necessary to maintain transparency and accountability. We are seeking a dynamic professional to oversee the transition readiness process, ensuring seamless integration of new systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in change management or related fields, with a proven track record of successfully guiding organizations through complex transitions. Responsibilities include developing and implementing transition plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks to minimize operational disruptions. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to engage stakeholders and drive adoption of new initiatives. Familiarity with industry best practices and compliance standards is required, along with the ability to analyze and report on transition metrics.

• Participate in staff meetings to provide updates from the field, ensuring clear communication of relevant insights and developments.

Report any operational or safeguarding concerns to management without delay.

Diligently review and present members’ loan proposals during scheduled group meetings to facilitate thorough discussion and evaluation.

Loan approvals are determined via verbal consensus among group members present during the meeting.

• Credit officer will fill all loan data such as loan applications, guarantor from DP Notes etc. In digital system.

Verify the loan application thoroughly, confirm the disbursement date, and then communicate the finalized date clearly to the member.

You must be physically present on the designated disbursement day to actively engage in the disbursement process.

Credit officers are required to actively participate in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly group meetings and are responsible for ensuring the full recovery of all loan installments.

I deposit the collected funds into the Branch Accountant’s custody and record the transaction amount in the Daily Cash Report (DCR), ensuring my signature is included for verification purposes.

Any missed installment during the morning group meeting must be followed by an afternoon collection effort, conducted through direct house visits to borrowers or their designated small group leaders.

In the afternoon, commence the process of collecting overdue payments, including those that are past due and those scheduled for the next billing cycle.

Should a client seek to re-engage with BRAD and previously had a loan written off, the responsibility includes initiating the process of loan recovery to facilitate their return as a client.

Consistently cultivate professional and courteous relationships with every participant involved.

Effectively address participants’ complaints, concerns, and suggestions by actively listening and determining suitable responses.

Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by BRAD Human Resources to ensure compliance and operational consistency.

Maintain strict compliance with the organization’s Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.

Execute all supplementary duties delegated by senior leadership as necessary.

To foster and sustain a robust safeguarding culture across all AIM groups.

Uphold rigorous measures to safeguard participants against any form of abuse, exploitation, harassment, or discrimination.

Report safeguarding incidents by adhering to established organizational procedures to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

Encourage a secure and welcoming environment that fosters the full engagement of adolescent girls and young women.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proven expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to assess complex business challenges. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, or Power BI. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams through project execution phases. Familiarity with industry-standard software development lifecycle processes. Ability to evaluate risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.

Holders of at least a Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE) are required.

Minimum of one year’s experience in a financial institution or a related professional environment is required.

Handles cash and bank transactions by preparing cash requisitions, issuing cash certificates, and maintaining accurate bank reconciliation statements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to manage documents, analyze data, and create reports efficiently.

Strong interpersonal and articulation abilities are essential for fostering productive interactions and conveying information clearly.

Proficient in crafting clear, accurate, and engaging written content in English, with a strong command of grammar, syntax, and style to effectively convey information and meet reporting standards.
