JOB DESCRIPTION:
Serendipity Co. Ltd. manages Ghana’s sole commercial palm oil venture in collaboration with smallholder farmers through a “traditional” rural palm oil processing facility. The initiative supplies organic and fair trade-certified palm oil to multiple brands across Europe and the United States, fostering sustainable rural development in the Eastern Region.
We are currently seeking a highly proactive and meticulous HR Assistant to become part of our dynamic team.
Oversee core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational goals are achieved efficiently. Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Conduct regular assessments of team productivity and workflow efficiency to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring staff, promoting professional development, and facilitating cross-functional communication. Monitor budget allocations and financial performance to optimize resource utilization and support sustainable growth. Serve as a liaison with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners to align initiatives with overarching business objectives.
Provide support in the recruitment and onboarding initiatives to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
Responsible for the accurate management and upkeep of employee records as well as all HR-related documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards while maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity.
Provide assistance with payroll and attendance management procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
Provide support in managing leave processes and addressing staff welfare concerns.
• Compile and deliver accurate HR reports alongside professional correspondence to stakeholders.
Offer comprehensive administrative assistance to the Human Resources team, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient workflow management.
Skilled professionals must possess a robust understanding of financial principles, data analysis, and regulatory compliance to excel in this role. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel functions is essential, along with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and generate accurate reports. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate insights to stakeholders. Prior experience in risk assessment, budget forecasting, or audit procedures is highly valued. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all financial dealings.
A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related discipline is required.
Requires robust interpersonal abilities alongside exceptional coordination and planning capabilities.
Possesses a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ensuring effective document creation, data analysis, and presentation development.
Proficiency in maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information is essential.
Professional experience in an HR or administrative role would be beneficial.
