JOB DESCRIPTION:
The School is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our inclusive learning support team as an independent contractor.
The ideal candidate will deliver tailored services to students spanning Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, offering one-on-one and small-group therapy to foster speech, language, and communication skills. The successful applicant must meet the following qualifications, experience, and skill requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, along with at least three years of experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Certification in relevant technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is strongly preferred. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with a solid understanding of database systems and software development methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure is highly desirable.
Proficient knowledge, expertise, and capabilities in the specified field are essential. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience, demonstrating a track record of success in similar roles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required to excel in this position. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or methodologies is also necessary. Additionally, the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines is crucial. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is highly valued.
A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field is required for this position.
Holds a valid and current license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
We seek candidates with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience providing educational support to children ranging from ages three to eighteen in structured learning environments.
Professionals with experience in international education settings are strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with typical developmental speech and language milestones and associated disorders is essential.
Proficiency in collaborating with individuals from varied cultural backgrounds and possessing diverse linguistic skills is required.
Demonstrates exceptional ability to articulate ideas clearly and foster meaningful professional relationships through effective communication and interpersonal engagement.
Demonstrated capacity for effective collaboration and teamwork within a group setting.
Demonstrated strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding proficiency in managing time effectively.
Proficient in utilizing a range of technology and digital tools, including Google platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, to enhance productivity and support task execution.
Training in specialized therapeutic methodologies, such as PROMPT and V&V, is required.
