JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Purpose
The Operations Coordinator oversees and coordinates daily haulage operations, ensuring the seamless transportation of trucks, drivers, and cargo while upholding operational efficiency, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties critical to operational success, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, the management of daily workflows, and the adherence to established policies and procedures. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement. Maintain meticulous records, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform data-driven decision-making. Additionally, supervise team members by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and offering guidance to optimize performance and achieve key performance indicators. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability.
Develop and oversee daily transportation schedules, allocating appropriate trucks and drivers to ensure seamless operational execution.
• Oversee the transportation of goods to verify punctual and accurate delivery while tracking vehicle movement efficiently.
Collaborate with drivers, clients, warehouse staff, and management to address operational issues efficiently.
Responsible for managing comprehensive fleet records, such as tracking fuel consumption, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules, and maintaining accurate vehicle documentation.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and oversee all servicing activities to maintain optimal fleet operational readiness at all times.
Monitor driver attendance, evaluate performance metrics, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Prepare and oversee operational reports and transport documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Address operational issues to facilitate timely resolution of customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain adherence to all applicable transport regulations and established company procedures.
