Job Purpose

The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing daily haulage operations, ensuring the seamless transportation of trucks, drivers, and cargo while upholding high standards of efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance across all departments. Serve as a liaison between senior management and staff, facilitating clear communication, conflict resolution, and alignment with overarching business objectives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate progress, identify areas for growth, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize outcomes.

The individual will be responsible for organizing and managing daily transportation schedules, assigning appropriate trucks and drivers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Oversee the tracking of vehicle routes to guarantee the punctual arrival of shipments.

Collaborate with drivers, clients, warehouse staff, and management to address operational matters efficiently.

Maintain comprehensive fleet records encompassing fuel consumption, scheduled maintenance activities, and all necessary vehicle documentation.

Coordinate all vehicle servicing schedules and oversee maintenance activities to guarantee the fleet remains fully operational and ready for deployment at all times.

• Track driver attendance, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety regulations.

Prepare and oversee the creation and upkeep of operational reports and transport documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Address operational challenges proactively while facilitating swift and effective solutions to customer concerns.

• Maintain strict adherence to all applicable transportation regulations and established company protocols.

Required qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets efficiently. Experience in data analysis, reporting, and generating actionable insights is essential. Strong organizational skills are needed to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. The role demands excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
