Honda TEC Ghana Limited, a premier organization renowned for its expertise in assembling and distributing heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles, operates its state-of-the-art assembly facility in Team. The company is dedicated to providing superior commercial and private vehicle solutions tailored to the Ghanaian market. We are in search of a meticulous and proactive Warehouse Officer to oversee the efficient management of inventory, spare parts, and raw materials within our assembly plant warehouse.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties essential to the role, including performing detailed analyses of performance metrics, developing strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects, provide data-driven recommendations, and support decision-making processes. Monitor progress against established objectives, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate records, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to stakeholders to facilitate transparency and accountability.

Relocating to the vibrant coastal city of Team, Ghana, this role is situated in a strategic industrial hub with proximity to the bustling Team Port. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to operations within a dynamic maritime and logistics environment, leveraging the city’s robust infrastructure and economic significance in West Africa.

Duties are overseen by the Assembly Plant Manager, to whom this position reports directly.

Skilled personnel will accept and process incoming deliveries of knockdown (KD) parts, components, and consumables.

Ensure that quantities, part numbers, and quality standards align with delivery notes, purchase orders, and packing lists.

Any observed discrepancies, damages, or instances of non-conformity must be promptly reported to the procurement team without delay.

Assign bin locations and organize parts in a structured manner, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expire, First-Out) protocols to ensure proper inventory rotation and accuracy.

Maintain a warehouse environment that is consistently clean, orderly, and clearly labeled to accommodate both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicle parts.

Ensure heavy components are securely stored to mitigate damage risk and streamline retrieval processes.

Maintain precise inventory records through the company’s enterprise resource planning or warehouse management system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform cycle counts and engage in monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely notifications are issued for critical and high-velocity components requiring replenishment.

Issue materials and components to assembly line technicians based on approved requisition documentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily records of all receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.

Compile weekly and monthly warehouse reports to document inventory status, identify slow-moving items, and track any discrepancies.

• Ensure adherence to established safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe lifting techniques, and correct stacking procedures.

Ensure hazardous materials, including batteries, oils, and lubricants, are stored in strict accordance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.

Ensure all fire exits remain unobstructed and operational, while fire extinguishers and other critical emergency equipment are kept readily available and in proper working condition at all times.

Oversee and mentor warehouse personnel, including forklift operators, casual laborers, and warehouse assistants, ensuring their tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.

Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and quality control teams to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted material flow throughout operations.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Comprehensive expertise in FIFO protocols, inventory management, and barcoding technologies.

Demonstrates a fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly in generating and managing stock reporting documentation.

Demonstrates exceptional precision and meticulousness in reviewing numerical data and ensuring flawless accuracy in all calculations and documentation.

• Exceptional aptitude for organizing tasks efficiently and resolving challenges effectively.

Demonstrates resilience and composure when managing workloads during high-demand assembly cycles.
