Job Summary

The Trade Developer will spearhead field-level sales initiatives and optimize market coverage to enhance brand visibility while maximizing agent productivity. Additionally, they will be tasked with meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within their designated territory.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, managing cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality across all deliverables. Proactively seek out and secure new individual wallet customers, facilitating a seamless onboarding process to ensure their successful integration into the platform.

• Spearhead wallet activation initiatives and guarantee customers complete their initial transactions.

Facilitate onboarding initiatives at various locations, including markets, university campuses, transportation hubs, and community gatherings.

• Engage, recruit, and integrate individual merchants and small-to-medium enterprises as valued partners within the platform.

Professionals in this role will effectively communicate the key features and advantages of the product to merchants, ensuring clarity and comprehension. The incumbent will facilitate a thorough understanding of how the product meets their business needs and delivers value. This responsibility includes addressing any questions or concerns merchants may have regarding functionality or benefits.

• Facilitate agents in expanding customer bases and executing promotional initiatives to enhance engagement and drive sales.

Design and implement innovative field marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to drive engagement and enhance brand visibility.

Ensure all onboarding activities are documented with precision and thoroughness.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required. At least three years of experience in a related role is necessary. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is expected. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are crucial. Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred. Dedication to continuous learning and professional development is a must. Compliance with industry regulations and standards is required.

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required for this position.

Seeking candidates with at least two years of hands-on experience in external sales roles.

Preferred candidates should possess relevant experience in the Mobile Money, Banking, Telecom, FMCG, or a closely related industry.

Proficient in utilizing CRM systems with a foundational level of expertise.

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word with a strong working knowledge of their functionalities.

Capable of analyzing sales targets and performance metrics to derive actionable insights.

Proficiency in the mobile money ecosystem and digital payment platforms is advantageous.
